Nashavel
Chaos Domain
Bound to Vesuna
The cartographers gave up centuries ago. The locals never bothered.

At a Glance

Etymology
Basque nahas (chaos, disorder, to mix) → rearranged and drifted. The chaos in the name itself.
Position
Northeast Talan, east of Ehizahar and Midarra, north of Zuzental and Egulon, coastal on Hafra
Terrain
Overwhelmingly dense old-growth forest: far more tree coverage than any other domain. Open grassland only in the south. A lake to the west, river in the south, mountains to the east. Wild magic woven into the trees themselves: paths don't stay fixed.
Character
Dense ancient forest, wild magic zones

Vesuna: domain of Chaos
Peoples
Four dominant ancestries are anchored here, four stances toward the domain's one weather: Gnome (the ones who spin the change), Vanara (the ones who ride it), Anadi (the ones who re-weave after it; web-weavers of the Basogur and of Nahaskel's web-walks), and Conrasu (the ones who know what is underneath).

Sub-Regions

Vernua Dominion
Likely drifted from Vesuna's own name
Houses Nahaskel, Vesuna's city-state. The city sits within the Dominion but resists being governed by it: the relationship between mortal authority and the god's presence is perpetually contested.

Kaosadaemi Principality
Basque kaosa (chaos) + Icelandic dæmi (district): "the chaos district"
Details to be developed.

Basogur Jungle
Basque baso (forest/wood) → drifted to Basogur
Dense jungle sub-region shared with Ehizahar, and the continent's rail-blocker: Basogur bisects the east-central waist of Talan, the reason there is no through-rail between the northern and southern Magitrain networks. Rails warp and runes fail in the jungle's chaos-touched magic, the indigenous Vanara, Anadi, and beast-spirits dismantle construction as it goes up, and the Nashavel/Ehizahar political deadlock locks any right of way. North-south traffic routes around it: stillship across the Midarra, airship over the canopy, or the long overland bypass.
